Catherine Genovese, a 28 year old bar manager was walking home from work in the early hours of March 13th, 1964 in Queens (USA). She was attacked and stabbed in multiple assaults that took place over 35 minutes. Thirty eight (38) people witnessed the attacks but did nothing to help, including phoning the police. This situation is quite infamous and has been studied for many years. The case became a touchstone for the ' Bystander Effect' and 'Genovese Syndrome'. It was found in subsequent investigations that the extent of public apathy was exaggerated and many who witnessed the situation were not fully aware of how serious it was. This incident led to the first Neighbourhood Watch Program. I mentioned this to highlight the fact that everything we do in 2025 is visually recorded using a range of devices, e.g. mobile phones, video cameras, security cameras, police cameras, vehicle cameras, drones, just to name a few. It has been estimated that the average person in a Weste...

The Echo of Aeloria 3-Glorious Awakening

Image
'The Echo of Aeloria 3-Glorious Awakening', now online (Dawnian Productions, YouTube Channel). This is the third episode of The Echo of Aeloria, with one more episode to go. This has been a long, at times arduous, production, with a few miracles along the way! A number of times I didn't know the next move. But I asked the one who knows (and Yes, He was there at the beginning!). My own journey partly mirrors Aelith's journey and that is why I am excited for her, as she travels and searches. I can't wait to see how the Echo of Aeloria will end! Some of you, being a little more observant than others, will notice that the Echo, (hence the name) has not been heard in this third episode. All will be revealed in the final episode! As I was producing this video, I've grown quite close to Aelith and I've realised she is becoming weary. She has been searching for a while now and has many life questions that she needs answering. But in this third episode, Aelith is enc...

Perfect!

Image
' Perfect'- the latest video from Dawnian Productions You Tube Channel, has just been uploaded. What does perfection mean? It is a word one might use to describe a wife, husband, business partner, friend? It is a word one would use to describe a holiday, a home, a location, a moment, a project, a product, a car? Maybe 'perfect' means absolutely nothing to you, and is just a word. Maybe you are wondering why I am talking about this, at all! Good point. Firstly, I'm talking about this because it relates to a video Dawnian Productions has just produced. Maybe, 'perfect' is a word that describes a world we all might want to live in. It seems, wherever I go, I hear people talking about how things are in the world - the violence,  the chaos, war, terrorism, the acceptance of evil over good, racial tensions, and so much more. Most of us have given up of ever seeing a better world. We have all, but lost hope of having anything close to a perfect world, or at least ...

Ai War

Image
Where will you be when this war starts? A good question given that Ai is creeping (actually racing) into our lives. It is starting to touch 'sacred' spaces of our lives which were once kept private. My latest short video (Ai War) is taking a satirical look at what ai can produce, according to the prompt (mine). In this video, I created text prompts, which resulted in what you see in the video.   Now, I know that some of you, who are working in this ai space, will immediately focus on my text prompts and suggest the results in the video were in response to my inadequate information in my text prompts (and that is certainly true!)....but isn't that the point!. One can prompt (audio, text, video) using an ai generating platform, to create anything...making something wrong to appear to be desirable and beautiful; creating something that is stunningly attractive and looks wholesome and good, but in actual fact, is deeply evil and wicked. It is terrifyingly true that one can crea...

Sound Bite

Image
Sound Bite! I can almost hear someone saying, 'Hey, that's not how you spell Bite. Isn't it spelt ' Byte'? Just to clarify, 'Byte' is a unit of digital information and is often used (incorrectly) with the word 'Sound'. Most style guides suggest that 'Sound Bite' is correct. Just saying. Moving on. 'Sound Bite' is the title of my latest video (Dawnian Productions-You Tube). This production took an inordinate amount of time and I am not sure why. On reflection, I think the message was not clear from the start (I am still unsure if the message is still a little unclear. You, the viewer, will be the final judge of that!). I have used a number of famous faces, in the video, some of which, may not be known to our older viewers. These were added to compare the many voices we hear (and read) each day, to the Voice of Truth, Jesus Christ. I also used these people, so younger viewers, would be better able to relate to the message. I used some...

The Moon and Other Surprises

Image
The Moon and Other Surprises is the title of my latest video (Dawnian Productions Channel on YouTube). It started as an expression and expanded from there into what you see. I was thinking about how our world is at the moment - truth-averse, corrupt, violent, polarised, a focus on death rather than life, man-centred, selfish and evil. However, amidst all that, there is still much beauty, innocence, heroism, courage, truth, life-affirmation, and my heart was drawn to young children. They rarely have an agenda. They are often awestruck by what they see. They have fun and still are not nuanced in their reactions to things. As adults, we often lose our capacity to be in awe of anything and become jaded so quickly. We see things and we experience things, as we pass by, on our way to appointments, meetings, expectations and outcomes...and somehow the wonder, the surprises and the little celebrations and coincidences of life, of beauty, of Creation and of God, are missed.  I believ...

Tsunami Downunder

Image
I don't quite know what to say about my latest video (it can be viewed on YouTube under its title, 'Tsunami Downunder') It really is an Ai experiment with a sort of a message. It was fun to do using Grok (Elon Musk's equivalent to ChatGPT). It is an extremely powerful tool (and I was using the free, unsubscribed version). I added a narration (I stress that I do not subscribe to the anthropogenic version of climate change). I am still trying to sort out my Ai generation mix in a way that maximise the resources I can use to create ai content, without 'breaking the bank.' The result is not super realistic but it does make an impression. I am looking forward to trying many more ideas using ai. You will be able to see these in YouTube as they are released. I am excited at the potential, using ai, to create some beautiful, inspiring and moving stories. I am also terrified at its capacity to generate deep evil. I, like many others, are still navigating through the con...
