  Overreach! This is the latest video from Dawnian Productions (now on YouTube). This video came from the idea that many people are willing to pay a high price on being promised that they will be 'kept safe'. One sees this dynamic in the family, marriages, friendships, business and government. One seems to hear the expression, 'keeping you safe' everywhere these days. In marriages, a husband (mostly) promises his wife, safety and security in the relationship (this usually starts with 'love bombing'). Then over time, the husband exhibits controlling behaviour over his wife. This can sometimes lead to domestic violence. In business, the employees are promised incentives (their job is safe) if they achieve a certain milestone. This milestone is exceeded and the business downsizes and many people lose their jobs. Dawnian Productions has just uploaded our latest video, 'What Remains' on YouTube. The topic of this video is something many people are currently asking, the 'What will remain...' questions. What if one lost everything, what would remain in one's life that would give it purpose? When one loses capacity as one gets older, what remains? What remains when a family tragically loses a child? What remains when one's status and wealth are gone? What remains when one is no longer needed? What remains when one is left alone? What remains when one loses one's Christian faith? There is so much 'human wreckage' surrounding these conundrums and so much to reflect upon.  'What Remains' is a video that explores this in a post apocalyptic context and poses the answer to that question, 'What remains...' I pray that you will build into your life, things that will remain, based on a God who is eternal. 

When looking at the origin of the word, 'Corruption', one notices words such as - breaking, violation, bribery, ruin, spoil, decay, contamination, depraved, wickedness, seduction as part of the etymology of that word. It originates from Latin ( Corruptio / corrumpere ) and is associated with the 'breaking' of moral or physical integrity. Someone has suggested there are 4 'P's of Corruption. They are Preference, Power, Privilege and Payment. Wherever corruption appears it is always linked to preferential treatment, a power differential with privilege and payment -  either in money or in kind. This is so evident in today's world! The Human Story - The Purpose. (Part 2 of 3) Have you ever thought about your purpose? Why were you born? Have you been created for a purpose? There are many worldviews that postulate a range of theories. However, the Christian Worldview is that humans were created uniquely in God's Image (Genesis 1:27). That is a staggering statement! Human beings were created in God's (The Creator of the Universe) image!!  We didn't happen by accident. We are not the result of cosmic randomness. When one looks at all of the elements needed for human life (and animal life for that matter), it is truly an 'act of faith' to believe that anything else, except intentionality by a Divine Creator, is the cause of our existence. How many times have you said something and 3 seconds later, you want to take your words back? Doing this is distinctly human...understandable, and wrong! Dawnian Productions has just uploaded a new video to YouTube. It is titled, 'Clear Coding". The expression might not mean much to some of you. It originally was connected to the world of dating (yes, the romantic kind - is there any other kind?). Clear Coding describes a situation where people are communicating in a clear accurate manner without hidden meanings or surprises. I personally love clear communication. I am fully aware when my own communication is less than I expect and I am always looking to improve my communication skills. - be it, speaking, writing or visually. What about you? How is your communication...with your friends, spouse, children, work colleagues and God? Does your communication leave a sweet perfume behind it? Is it sharp and unkind? Is it all that you want it to be? God wants to communicate with you?...

'Distractions'...This short video is full of 'interesting' disconnected distractions. Dawnian Productions produced this video as a distraction!! However, it does have a broader message. We live in a world full of intriguing distractions - meaningless - but nonetheless, captivating! I often find myself doing the dreaded 'scrolling'...and when I eventually drag myself out of the 'rabbit hole', I look at my watch and I am in 'awe' (disgusted, more like it!) at my capacity to waste my time on things that do not add to my life in any significant way. I usually ask God to forgive me and continue on my way, praying I will never do that again. But I do! I am guessing that some of you may feel the same as me. What do I do? How do I stop this? Is there a cure? Distraction is rarely about 'too many things to do.'It is usually about giving ultimate attention to lesser things.  '...not today.' - Well, today is the day! This incredible story that flooded our media feeds in early February 2026 was nothing short of a miracle. The video that we (Dawnian Productions) have just completed, is now on YouTube. It tells the true story of a remarkable young man (13 yrs of age) who did the impossible to save his family from almost certain death. I have read this amazing story as part of the research for this video and still feel a sense of the miraculous and have so many unanswered questions! The title of this video references something that Austin Appelbee said to himself as he was swimming the 4 kilometres to shore. It is interesting to note that the media did not highlight, what I consider the most significant part of this story. Austin's feat obviously points to a God who was with him on that perilous journey.
