The Human Story - The Purpose. (Part 2 of 3) Have you ever thought about your purpose? Why were you born? Have you been created for a purpose? There are many worldviews that postulate a range of theories. However, the Christian Worldview is that humans were created uniquely in God's Image (Genesis 1:27). That is a staggering statement! Human beings were created in God's (The Creator of the Universe) image!! We didn't happen by accident. We are not the result of cosmic randomness. When one looks at all of the elements needed for human life (and animal life for that matter), it is truly an 'act of faith' to believe that anything else, except intentionality by a Divine Creator, is the cause of our existence. There is no other logical explanation. Of course, with intentionality comes purpose and a plan. 

What is the purpose for your life, for my life? Where do we go to find out about our purpose? There are many places people go to answer this existential question. Some look to relationships, money, achievement, recognition, power, religion etc. A level of purpose will be found here, but there is still a void. God has created humankind with the desire to reconnect with Himself, a personal relationship! This reconnection is through Jesus Christ, God's Son. Many people feel that something is missing and try to fill this void with stuff (see above).

Human beings were designed for God. It is only in the relationship with our Creator, we find completeness, wholeness, absolute joy and Purpose.

To find purpose for your life, give God your attention and your heart, and He will give your life back to you, filled with His purpose.

    What does it mean to be created "in God's image" ?
    Does it mean body, soul and spirit? I think most people have a sense we humans are not just body/flesh and bones but also soul/personality and spirit.
    And I think about the character of God. Are we meant to reflect His Good Character if we are created in His image?
    Just some thoughts to ponder on.

    Further thought - If I am created to reflect God's Good Character then that's my starting point for my purpose 😃

 ' The Human Story - The Chosen' (Part 1 of 3)   It is 2026 and the world has changed since I last posted on Blogger. How is it changed one may ask? The world is collectively holding its breath. We are not sure what tomorrow's headlines will look like. We are not sure about how many more thousands will be massacred than what we read about yesterday. The world wakes up every day anticipating that the violence we saw yesterday would somehow be explained away. But it just gets worse. The lies that were told yesterday is the truth that we read about today. Social media headlines scream at us, entice us, lie to us, promise us, inform us. What Remains.

Dawnian Productions has just uploaded our latest video, 'What Remains' on YouTube. The topic of this video is something many people are currently asking, the 'What will remain...' questions. What if one lost everything, what would remain in one's life that would give it purpose? When one loses capacity as one gets older, what remains? What remains when a family tragically loses a child? What remains when one's status and wealth are gone? What remains when one is no longer needed? What remains when one is left alone? What remains when one loses one's Christian faith? There is so much 'human wreckage' surrounding these conundrums and so much to reflect upon.  'What Remains' is a video that explores this in a post apocalyptic context and poses the answer to that question, 'What remains...'
