Safety

 Dawnian Productions has just completed, 'Safety', our latest video (now on YouTube). This is the first of a trilogy about the situation Christians currently find themselves in the world in which we live. This situation of soft hatred, vitriolic expressions, sarcasm, being unwelcome in public and work spaces, the need to be re-educated, has happened relatively quickly (in the West).However it is commonplace for Christians in many countries all around the world. What does this look like and what does it mean? The Christian faith, and those who love Jesus, are seen as problematic in our society. Christians are bigoted, hateful, simple-minded (in the worst sense of that expression), ignorant, weak, believers of fables, unintelligent, dangerous, unwelcome, narrow-minded, God-Botherer, hypocrite, fundamentalist (and the list could go on!). Most of us appreciate a smiling face, friendliness, a warm relationship, being accepted. We, at Dawnian Productions, are aware that this is changing quickly. This video highlights the reality of this change and the cost of being a Christian. The video concludes with the words,  'Safety was never the promise, just the cost of admission'. It reminds one of what Jesus said in Luke 9:23 (Bible) 'If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me'. Part of the 'cross' Jesus asked his followers to bear, is public disapproval. The 'cross', many of Jesus followers, are carrying, right now, is not just public disapproval but outright hatred and persecution! Pray for them.
