Pierced

The Crucifixion (and subsequent resurrection) of Jesus Christ is an event unmatched by any other. It is the 'cornerstone', the pivotal point of history. To Christians, it represents the absolute core of their faith. The Crucifixion is viewed as the ultimate sacrifice where Jesus took the burden of humanity's sins upon Himself. The Resurrection confirms that this sacrifice was accepted by His Father, giving us victory over sin and death, through Jesus' death on the cross. Christians believe that through Jesus' death, the punishment for their sin was paid in full. They call this The Gospel or Good News. The Resurrection means that believers in Jesus are declared righteous before God. Because Jesus conquered death, Christians hold the promise of their own future resurrection and eternal life in heaven.

If this seems all a little weird and religious to you...it is, and it's not! The Christian religion, is more of a relationship than a religion. Yes, it seems a little strange to say that, because Christianity comes in many denominational forms. Jesus calls us to surrender our hearts to him and to believe, trust and obey Him. He wants a relationship with us, not to impose rules on us.

If you want to know more about Jesus, we at Dawnian Productions, would encourage you to do a couple of things. First, just ask God to show you more about Himself. He will. The Bible also has a lot to say about Jesus, particularly in the Book of John. This book will reveal Jesus to you. Another excellent book you can read is, 'The Jesus Discoveries: 10 Historic Finds That Bring Us Face-to-Face with Jesus' by Dr Jeremiah Johnston.

Be Blessed as you discover who Jesus is.
