You Don't Deserve It!

You and I don't deserve it. Grace, that is. What actually is Grace, apart from a girls name and the short prayer of thanks before a meal? It is also now a 48 sec short video on YouTube from Dawnian Productions. But, seriously, what is Grace? The best definition I can think of, is, 'undeserved favour'...and the only way I can illustrate that is how God treats us. Grace is such a beautiful word. The onomatopoeia of the word, is pastoral. It is gentle. It is soft and joyful and full of hope! But there is so much more! Grace is what God did for us when we didn't deserve it (and certainly not able to earn it). It is seen in what Jesus, God's Son, did for humankind willingly. He gave up His life and gave us what we couldn't give ourselves - forgiveness for our sins and a new life, with the assurance of eternity with God.

If you are not a Christian, this doesn't make a lot of sense. The whole cross thing. Why would people wear a symbol of one of the cruellest and brutal ways to die - a cross, around their neck. To Christians, the cross is the symbol of God's greatest act of love for people. It is a sign of something that is so significant, it divided history. It is an act unsurpassed by anything that was before or after it. It is central to one's life and the reason for one's very existence.

When someone becomes a Christian, they immediately understand why Christians talk about, remember, (Holy Communion), celebrate, (Easter) this incredible act of God and worship and adore the person who did this for them. There is a growing movement of people around the world, who are beginning to understand God's beautiful act of redemption and are wanting to know more about Christianity and what it's all about. Maybe, you're one of them. If you are, Welcome home.

 ' The Human Story - The Chosen' (Part 1 of 3)   It is 2026 and the world has changed since I last posted on Blogger. How is it changed one may ask? The world is collectively holding its breath. We are not sure what tomorrow's headlines will look like. We are not sure about how many more thousands will be massacred than what we read about yesterday. What Remains.

Dawnian Productions has just uploaded our latest video, 'What Remains' on YouTube. The topic of this video is something many people are currently asking, the 'What will remain...' questions. What if one lost everything, what would remain in one's life that would give it purpose? When one loses capacity as one gets older, what remains? What remains when a family tragically loses a child? What remains when one's status and wealth are gone? What remains when one is no longer needed? What remains when one is left alone? What remains when one loses one's Christian faith? There is so much 'human wreckage' surrounding these conundrums and so much to reflect upon.  'What Remains' is a video that explores this in a post apocalyptic context and poses the answer to that question, 'What remains...'
