Why?

Have you ever asked the question, Why? Not in answer to any particular question, but just, why. I have. I have found myself on such a journey, recently. It was a strange thing, not that doing strange, unexplainable things is foreign to me. I often find myself reflecting on situations that would be perfectly suited to a utopian world, but seem to be unshaped for the world I live in. Sometimes the 'Why', is exuded with a whimper, a softly nuanced mantle of gentleness and other times, it can scamper out of the recesses of my conscious unconsciousness with abandon and exuberance-almost joyful. There is no reason. It is just as it is.

Asking questions, particularly, the 'Why' question, has the capacity to settle our brooding uncertainties and lets the world around us, catch a sliver of the 'window' through which we view the world and its swirling stories. Sometimes those around us at the time, will join us, as we gaze out the 'window' together, in silence, at times. At other times, talking over each other, carving out spaces for our words and thoughts, until a peace settles over us all as we step away from the 'window' and continue shovelling snow.

Have you ever asked the 'Why? question?
