Where?

 One often hears the word, 'Where' ricocheting and bouncing off the curiosity quotients of people in certain circles. I have been around such circles recently and I'm not sure, at that moment, what one is expecting to see! One sees news headlines, or hears of a particularly nasty crime, or an outrageous comment from a politician, commentator or influencer and the word, 'Where', saunters by with a sideways glance, at that moment, teasing us to follow to find out more about the enticing story behind the headline. At these moments, I am like everybody, eager to follow the trail of crumbs wherever it leads. But then I stop, press pause and and am often shocked on the reason I am following such a trail (these reasons will remain forever hidden!) Am I a searcher for Truth? Am I a carrier of Truth? Am I eager to deconstruct the Truth? or am I a purveyor of Truth? or someone entirely different? 

As I stand up straight, I realise that my true desire is to carry the Truth and speak the Truth...and I am somehow very glad about that.

What?

What!  What are you listening to? What's that you're reading? What are you going to do? One hears (and asks) these questions daily...but when one hears, 'What', one can instantly traverse oceans of water and tapestries of meaning, endeavouring to understand the shade and subtlety of such a comment. One can find oneself, pondering the known and unknown capacity of this verbal 'cocoon'. Interestingly, cocoon is a roundish word, whereas 'What', is an industrial word...metallic, geometric. It somehow radiates loudness and harshness but remains stubbornly silent. One actually finds a level of extraversion about this word, sometimes a 'childlike' awkwardness, a brutality and a violence. When verbalised, 'What' seeps into the wakefulness and the mindfulness of dignity and grace and forces a cognizance of active and passive possibilities. It can elicit a similar response from us!!  When? When, indeed! There is a semblance of connectedness, as one, on hearing that word, candidly leans in for more info. What one gleans at that moment, mirrors the slightly furrowed brow and quizzical expression (known by all as something other than pastoral concern!) as universal visual groupthink. There is a huddle somewhere in that word! Speaking of huddle, have you noticed recently there are huddles popping up everywhere. Even in the great USA, the DNC is an example. What a holy huddle that is!! Popping the corks even before the impending vociferous election result-creating myths where truth should be, destroying innocent lives in celebration and moving into madness with smiles all around, and a wink or two.  There are other huddles, I have become aware of.
